We're getting in the Miles for Maggie's

Colleagues across the business are taking part in a virtual charity event which will see them logging miles whilst fundraising for Maggie’s.

Maggie's and Sir Robert McAlpine are proud to have worked in partnership over the last six years.

The partnership works in two ways: the building of Maggie's centres and fundraising to help Maggie's support people with cancer and their loved ones.  So far, Sir Robert McAlpine has built nine Maggie's Centres and are aiming to raise £1m for Maggie's with an amazing circa £700k raised so far.

Over recent months, Covid-19 has prevented us from fundraising for Maggie's together in person and we're determined 2021 is going to be different.

So, we're going virtual to bring everyone together and instil a bit of rivalry. We’re hoping Miles for Maggie’s will be the perfect energizer to help boost mental health and wellbeing whilst giving something back at the same time. Our challenge gets underway on the 29th March until the 29th April.

Miles for Maggie’s

We’re encouraging our people across the UK to team up with some colleagues and walk, run and/or cycle the equivalent of the 437 miles between Maggie's Edinburgh and Maggie's at the Royal Marsden in London.

That's just under three miles a day for a month per team member in a team of five!
