Listen to episode 5 of the Beyond 1% podcast
We are delighted to announce the return of the Beyond 1% Podcast, which will now include a broader range of topics and guests. Our return episode is the first in a series on Sustainability, in support of World Environment Day.
To celebrate World Environment Day on 5th June, this is the first in a series of episodes that will focus on sustainability.
Our Beyond 1% Podcast is back and will be a permanent fixture moving forward. We have decided to expand our focus and include other topics and guests, starting with this sustainability series.
We are committed to sharing the voices of women in construction and will have a minimum of 50% guests as woman, outside of focused Women in Construction episodes. We are using this podcast as an opportunity to talk about a range of other relevant topics and an expanded list of guests.
This episode is part one of two, featuring three Sustainability Managers. Host Nic Errol talks to Imogen Masters, Louise Farragher and James Roy, exploring what its like to work in Sustainability, what their day to day looks like on site, and diversity in construction.
Stay tuned for part two of this conversation which will be released soon.
So when I got an opportunity to work for Sir Robert McAlpine, although I knew nothing about construction really, you could see that there was that opportunity to work in an environmental and community sense to kind of change people’s perceptions and attitudes. So even though it’s maybe something that wasn’t apparent at first, it’s developed into a really good opportunity.
