The Edinburgh International Festival 2021
With a solution focussed approach, the International Festival has forged new partnerships with a number of businesses who have responded to its call to action to take performances outdoors in order to mitigate the risks of COVID-19. As a festival partner we investigated and undertook the preliminary groundwork necessary to build the outdoor venue at Edinburgh Park, ensuring that all events can take place safely with as much outdoor space utilised as possible.
The festival’s ambition is to lead the way for other organisations to rebuild their own live performance programmes and to re-establish Edinburgh as a global celebration of culture. The 2021 programme features over 170 classical and contemporary music, theatre, opera, dance and spoken word performances, including 15 new commissions and premieres.
