WLA's International Women's Day Conference

We are delighted to be a headline sponsor and to be speaking at the WLA's International Women's Day Conference - Leadership for our Sustainable Future

Continuing our relationship with the Women Leaders Association, Sir Robert McAlpine is proud to once again be a headline sponsor for the International Women's Day Conference and Shine Awards 2022.

This year's conference has a theme of "Leadership for our Sustainable Future". Sustainable leadership is co-creating futures with multiple stakeholders, ensuring that everybody is heard and learning from each other. It’s seeking collaboration, embracing continually changing dynamics and bringing greater consciousness to the impact of decision-making. Sustainability is a key pillar at Sir Robert McAlpine both from an environmental perspective and from a leadership viewpoint as well.

After the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are delighted that this year's conference will be a 1 day in person event held at the Crewe Hall.

Following on directly from the conference will be the Shine Awards. This is an awards ceremony aimed at shining a light on leaders who go above and beyond, there are six award categories and the winners will be announced at the end of the conference. Our Executive Director of People and Infrastructure, Karen Brookes will present the winner of the "Male Agent of Change" award.

We are delighted to be well represented in the shine awards this year with several Sir Robert McAlpine employees nominated for multiple awards.
