Having studied marine biology at university, James Roy is finding our open and supportive learning culture invaluable as he settles into his new role as Sustainability Manager.
James joined us in September following work experience on 33 Grosvenor Street in London in June.
The placement opened James’s eyes to the many career opportunities the industry has to offer and to the multi-faceted nature of a modern construction project.
Since coming on board James has found the mentoring and support he has received from colleagues both on site and across the company a real bonus.
“Everyone on site is really helpful, because they understand that even if you’ve done an engineering degree, it’s not the same as working on a job.
“And it’s reassuring that if you don’t know something there are hundreds of people you can ask. Not just your line manager or the people on your site; there are people right across the business you can contact.”
