Sir Robert McAlpine adopts AI platform Buildots

We have adopted the ground-breaking AI technology platform, Buildots, as our preferred partner.

Buildots will automatically analyse data from Sir Robert McAlpine sites across the UK, captured by wearable 360-degree cameras.

Using AI and computer vision, Buildots generates true-to-life project progress reports, identifying risks of delays and opportunities for productivity gains, which in turn provides project managers with more control, outcome certainty, and facilitates shorter project delivery times.

The technology has already been rolled out across a number of our sites, including the new BEACH Building project at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital currently, which is being delivered by Integrated Health Projects (IHP), a joint venture between Sir Robert McAlpine and VINCI Construction UK.

The incredibly complex project, providing purpose-built facilities, including an enhanced emergency department and new critical care unit, was recently shortlisted for the ‘Best Use of Data on a Project’ at the Digital Construction Awards.

We are now currently in the planning stages of deploying the technology across a number of additional sites around the UK.

Commenting on the partnership, Roy Danon, Buildots CEO and co-founder, said:

“Sir Robert McAlpine’s decision to add Buildots to its list of preferred suppliers is a really meaningful testament to the benefits we have been able to provide them on multiple sites. We look forward to bringing that transparency and efficiency to many future projects with Sir Robert McAlpine and other leading construction firms in the UK and internationally.”
