National Apprenticeship Week 2023: Meet Veronica Coombes

Today marks the launch of National Apprenticeship Week. Join us throughout the week as we reflect on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career in the construction industry.

To celebrate the launch of National Apprenticeship Week, we catch up with Early Careers Advisor, Veronica Coombes, who is responsible for looking after all of our wonderful apprentices and graduates.

National Apprenticeship Week 2023 logoThe theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2023 is ‘Skills for Life’. During the week, we will be highlighting the opportunities available within our industry as we introduce you to some of our Early Careers Ambassadors and shine the spotlight on our talented apprentices and the work that they do.

Check out our National Apprenticeship Week page and keep an eye out on our social media channels this week where we'll be sharing 'day in the life of' video content with our wonderful apprentices.

My advice for anybody considering doing an apprenticeship in construction is to simply go for it. Apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity to learn all about construction that's supported in the workplace and academically.
