Upskilling with data analyst apprenticeships

Over the past year we saw the first of our colleagues take on a data analyst apprenticeship as a way of developing a whole new set of digital skills.

With digital construction and data analytics a key driving force for improvement within our sector, we're giving our people the chance to develop those skills through apprenticeships.

In 2020, we saw the first of our colleagues take on a data analytics apprenticeship as a way of upskilling themselves.

The apprenticeship allows the opportunity to grow valuable new skills, including learning how to code, how to automate everyday processes, problem solving at hackathons and develop new apps.

A new cohort starts every few months. Philippa Doughty and Yvanna Godwin are just two of those benefitting from upskilling in their current roles.

Junior Geospatial Engineer, Philippa Doughty works as part of our 21 Moorfields team and has used the apprenticeship to help improve everyday processes on her project.  Hear from Philippa herself in the video below.

Office Manager and Document Controller Yvanna Godwin works at our Ilona Rose Hose project and is also seeing the benefits. From visualisation, automation and machine learning to artificial intelligence, Yvanna's apprenticeship has really helped change her mind-set when it comes to improving everyday processes. It helps benefit, not just her role, but the wider project team. Here, Yvanna shares more…
