Read the feature article exploring how Sir Robert McAlpine is building a quality supply chain with the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS)

The work we have been doing both internally and with our supply chain to promote safer, more efficient road transport i​s the subject of an extended feature on the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) website.

FORS is a voluntary accreditation scheme which aims to raise the level of quality within fleet operations, and to highlight which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.

Our fleet is accredited to the highest level of the scheme (Gold) and we have made FORS accreditation mandatory for all vehicles entering sites. This ensures a high standard is set for both safety and the environment across all our sites, and sets a high benchmark for the broader construction industry.

We think FORS is really important – for us, it is a minimum standard requirement – it is a must. FORS links to everything we stand for as a business and we are keen to attract a supply chain which is aligned to these values by working to support them in their accreditation.
