How sustainability is shaping 2 Finsbury Avenue
Targeting BREEAM Outstanding, WELL Platinum, EPC A and NABERS 5-Star ratings, 2FA is setting a new benchmark for sustainable workspace in the heart of London
Reducing carbon isn't a single design decision: it's the result of thousands of choices made through collaboration, innovation and careful planning.
That was the message from our 2 Finsbury Avenue (2FA) Project Director, George Amy, in a recent interview with Construction Management magazine.
One of the most ambitious developments currently under construction in the City of London, sustainability has been embedded from the outset at 2FA through collaboration, innovation and a commitment to challenging conventional thinking.
From the use of low-carbon materials to designing out carbon through close collaboration with our client and supply chain partners, the project demonstrates what can be achieved when sustainability is integrated into every stage of delivery.
The project is targeting BREEAM Outstanding, WELL Platinum, EPC A and NABERS 5-Star ratings, and is set to become a new benchmark for sustainable workspace in the heart of London.
In his interview, George discusses how this approach is helping to drive significant reductions in embodied carbon while supporting circular economy principles across the project.

We updated the original Broadgate marketing suite into a modern facility. This included a complete re-clad, including opening up the ground floor with a public facing coffee shop.
135 Bishopsgate
We updated the offices and reshaped the public areas in and around 135 Bishopsgate where we also created retail space for Italian food hall brand Eataly. With much anticipation, Eataly opened its doors to the public in May 2021.
