Building a virtual Maggie's
Each brick represents hours of vital support funded by your donations. Although we reached our £1M target early, we are continuing to raise funds to make a lasting impact on the lives of those supported by Maggie’s.
After months of preparation, training and route planning, our cyclists set off yesterday on this year’s Maggie’s 3 for 30 Challenge, an epic five-day journey from London to Edinburgh in celebration of Maggie’s 30th anniversary.
Before the riders clipped in and headed north, they enjoyed coffee and croissants with colleagues and supporters at Maggie’s Royal Free, where they were given a warm send-off by Maggie’s Chief Executive, Dame Laura Lee, and Sir Robert McAlpine Chairman, Ed McAlpine (pictured right).
Over the next five days, the team will cycle more than 500 miles, visiting Maggie’s centres in London, Rhyl and Edinburgh across three of the Home Nations. Along the way, they hope to raise £25,000 for Maggie’s, helping the charity continue to provide free expert support for people living with cancer and those closest to them.
A huge thank you to everyone taking part and supporting the challenge.
You can show your support via the fundraising page on Enthuse.
Good luck, team – and thank you for going the extra mile for Maggie’s.
