26 Nov 2024Colne Valley Viaduct named winner in the 'engineering' category of the Royal Fine Art Commission Trust’s Building Beauty Awards - 2024
We are celebrating our success at the inaugural UKCW Construction Awards after Sir Robert McAlpine was crowned ‘Contractor of 2019’.
The ceremony was presented by Architect, George Clarke, and took place on the main stage of UKCW at the NEC, Birmingham, on Tuesday 8th October. The awards celebrate innovation and excellence for a range of large and small contractors, architects, clients, suppliers and manufacturers.
This is tremendous recognition as we celebrate our history of innovation and technical excellence on the occasion of our 150th Anniversary this year.
This award means all the more to us as the judges, the UK Construction Week Role Models, cast their votes based on the nominations and comments by customers and sub-contractors. We were commended for our "reputation for looking after staff and sub-contractors" and "pioneering commitment to the environment". We were also celebrated for our commitment to health and safety of our employees. Liz Waters, Community Manager, picked up the award on behalf of the company.
