Façade Manager, Jamie Mabrouk, is nominated at this year's Forces in Business Awards
Jamie, who has been with SRM since 2014, has been nominated for the Engineering Excellence Award.
Before joining us 12 years ago, Jamie was a Royal Marine Commando for eight years, and served on two tours of Afghanistan.
During his time in the Marines, Jamie started out as General Duties Rifleman before progressing to become Weapons Instructor and then a Close Protection Operator.
His military journey ended as a Recruit Troop instructor, enabling him to share his knowledge and experience to the next generation of recruits.
Initially joining the company as a Works Supervisor, Jamie then worked in Package and Section Management before moving into Façade Engineering.
He also recently passed the MSc in Façade Engineering, graduating with an impressive distinction.
The Forces in Business Awards were founded in 2018 to challenge the barriers faced by the more than 15,000 people who leave the Armed Forces each year looking to establish a meaningful second career.
Best of luck to Jamie ahead of the winners being revealed on Thursday 25th June.
