Heroes of the highways honoured
08 Dec 2025Members of our M6 and A19 teams were recognised for their acts of bravery and selflessness at the recent Highways Heroes Awards
Congratulations to Project Director, Nicky Rance who was awarded ‘Member of the Year’ at the Women Leaders Association (WLA) Shine Awards on Thursday 5th March at Crewe Hall, Cheshire.
Fellow WLA members were able to submit their own nominations based on who they felt has achieved significant success, breaking down barriers to overcome challenges in their day to day role.
Nicky has been a member of the WLA for over one and a half years and would highly recommend joining to those not already involved. Sandra Green is WLA’s founder whose mission is to help females break their inner and outer glass ceiling and help corporates fill their succession pipeline with talented female leaders. Sandra also coaches both male and female leaders in how to bring their best selves into work every day.
We invite you to watch the video below where Nicky highlights the benefits of the WLA membership including opportunities for learning; meeting inspirational women within the network and the opportunity to give back to charities Sandra has introduced her to.
