Our Apprentice Quantity Surveyor was among those recognised at the Considerate Constructors Scheme Gala Awards
Abigail, an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor at London Museum, was named as a Rising Star in front of a packed room of industry peers at the Natural History Museum.
Abigail joined us in 2023 and was put forward for the award by the project team, who describe her as having ‘a meticulous work ethic and willingness to learn’. She has become a ‘valued member of the team and has quickly earned the respect of colleagues, consultants and the client alike’.
Despite still being in the early stages of her career, Abigail is influencing change far beyond the scope of the role and has already taken ownership of commercial packages under the supervision of the wider commercial project team.
Abigail joined us as part of the Pathways to Professional Careers programme run by our charity partners, Construction Youth Trust. She remains actively involved with the CYT, passing on her knowledge and experiences to those looking to follow a similar route into the industry. This includes taking part in panel discussions about opening doors into the sector for young people in front of more than 100 prospective and current industry professionals.
Alongside her role, Abigail is working towards her Level 6 degree apprenticeship and is on course to achieve her RICS chartership by 2028.
