Meet the team: Lucy Scott, Design Engineer

This week to celebrate International Women's Day and Women in Construction Week, Design Engineer Lucy Scott talks about her path into construction, changing her career direction, and what this awareness day means to her.

This week, in support of International Women’s Day, we’re helping to #BreakTheBias by celebrating the achievements of women across the business.

Introducing Lucy Scott

Lucy is a Design Engineer, currently working for the McAlpine Design Group. She studied Civil Engineering at Nottingham University, as a sponsored Sir Robert McAlpine student.

Upon graduation, Lucy worked as a Graduate Engineer across a variety of projects in London. After five years of working as an Engineer, she took a secondment with the Temporary Works department in the McAlpine Design Group, enroute to completing her Civil Engineering Chartership.

Lucy enjoyed her secondment so much, she permanently transferred to McAlpine Design Group.

In this video, Lucy shares her goals and aspirations for the future, and the importance of International Women's Day.
