The Spark, Newcastle wins Most Considerate Site Award and Battersea Power Station Phase 3 takes runner-up at the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) Awards.
The Spark, Newcastle is our fourth project on the Newcastle Helix Science Park Development. We've previously been involved on The Helix in constructing nearby developments, The Lumen, The Core and the Frederick Douglass Building. Find out more about The Spark.
The judges citation read:
The project team took an innovative approach and went above and beyond for their workforce. The willingness to take on and solve problems around the site was demonstrated across the entire site team and was further evidenced by their excellent efforts to keep in touch with the local community. This project has shown exceptional levels of achievement and is a fantastic example of how the industry can raise standards.
The judges praised the levels of innovation and community engagement on the project, hailing it as: “a shining example of devotion to continuously improve the standards within the industry.”
This is a tremendous achievement and an excellent example of what can be achieved on a large construction project.
