Number One Riverside was named the ‘Best of the Best’ at last night’s British Council for Offices (BCO) Awards.

The civic offices development for Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council also triumphed in the Corporate Workplace category.

The BCO said:

“Number One Riverside is a true success, meeting an exacting brief for a great looking and energy efficient building. The project creates an excellent working environment, attractive and inviting public areas and will act as a catalyst for the much-needed investment in Rochdale town centre.”

It is the second year running that the Best of the Best accolade has been awarded to a project delivered by the company. Last year the honour went to WL Gore’s offices in Livingstone which also won the the Refurbished/Recycled Workplace category.

The BCO’s awards programme aims to provide public recognition for top quality design and functionality and a benchmark for excellence in workplaces.
