The Forces Employment Charity comes on board as a charity partner, deepening our ties with Veterans and the Armed Forces community
The three-year agreement reinforces our commitment to the Armed Forces community, including Service leavers, veterans, reservists and their spouses, partners and children.
The Forces Employment Charity provides life-long, life-changing support, jobs and training opportunities for people from the Armed Forces community, as well as support for veterans in the criminal justice system. Founded back in 1885, they operate across the United Kingdom and their specialist knowledge helps bridge the gap between military life and civilian employment.
Last year, they helped nearly 30,000 clients and worked with companies like ours to place just shy of 15,000 people into employment.
Representatives from both organisations will help shape our support through a series of joint workshops, ensuring our partnership is a truly collaborative one which provides the most appropriate and beneficial support.
They join our family of charity partners including Maggie’s and Construction Youth Trust.
The announcement comes following our recent Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Silver Award from the Ministry of Defence, one of only 307 organisations to obtain the accolade. This accreditation was spearheaded by Head of HR - Strategy & Transformation, Rachael Smith, who also won Role Model of the Year at the British Forces in Business Awards last month. This award recognised our dedication to embed supportive HR policies, promote defence values, and advocate for service personnel in our workforce.
