Introducing our Strong Foundations Grant Awardees in Oxford
Congratulations to those Oxford based charity and community projects that have been awarded a share of our Strong Foundations Grant.
We’re pleased to share details of more projects benefitting from a share of our Strong Foundations Grant.
We received 15 applications in total. Our judging panel of Sir Robert McAlpine representatives selected the following projects for the positive change they help drive in their local community and awarded them up to £3,000 each.
- Inclusion for All; Funding will be spent on Me2 Club’s volunteer programme to enable more children with complex additional needs access to mainstream leisure activities.
- Mental Wealth Academy; Oxfordshire Youth aim to support young people dealing with mental health crises through the Mental Wealth Academy. Funds will go towards their 3-year programme that supports 18–25-year-olds through non-clinical mental health interventions and wellbeing coping methods.
- Establishing firm foundation; We’re providing funds to support TransOxford Community group. Funds will be used to build a better website, improve communication and mailing tools, promotional and support material, and to cover the expenses for those involved in support and outreach work.
- OxFoodAid; We’re supporting Oxford Mutual Aid to deliver free regular food parcels, emergency food requests, and re-heatable meals each week to Oxford residents who are experiencing food poverty.
- Aspire Oxford Weekly Women's Hub; We’re supporting Aspire Oxfordshire to launch and sustain a weekly hub; a welcoming space for women to meet new people, find common ground with others who may have lived a similar experience with the criminal justice system, and access the tailored support they need.
