TechFest 2025

Our Digital Construction team have been nominated for three awards at TechFest 2025.

Our expertise in digital construction has been recognised with three nominations at the TechFest Awards 2025.

We have been cited in three separate categories, showcasing the breadth of our knowledge across all areas of digital construction.

Best Use of Technology: Artificial Intelligence

The Best Use of Technology: Artificial Intelligence award recognises our use of AI against delays at Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus in Bristol.

Buildots' AI progress tracking on the new University of Bristol Academic Building turns raw 360° site visuals into actionable insights, like completion rates and potential delays. The platform provides objective data, improving trade monitoring, streamlining planning, and enhancing subcontractor collaboration.

This allowed the team to receive early delay warnings and identify projected delays early, saving valuable time further down the programme.

Best Use of Technology: Site Productivity

In the Best Use of Technology: Site Productivity category, Integrated Health Projects (IHP) has been nominated for AI-powered efficiency gains at the National Rehabilitation Centre project in Loughborough. IHP is the healthcare joint venture between VINCI Building and Sir Robert McAlpine.

The project sets a new benchmark in construction management by seamlessly integrating various digital technologies to improve productivity.

By integrating digital tools like Buildots for progress tracking, Microsoft Copilot for AI-driven meeting summaries, and Datascope for biometric turnstile data in workforce planning, the project streamlined operations, reduced administrative burdens, and fostered collaborative, data-driven decision-making.

Digital Construction Project of the Year

Finally, we are also in the running for Digital Construction Project of the Year for the recently-completed 1 Broadgate.

By adopting the latest augmented reality tools, we were able to track progress against a tight schedule, disseminate information quickly and know where we are at in real time.

The technology also allowed us to capture the flow of information from design stages through to procurement and as-built information on site, ensuring we could evidence the sustainability targets on the project.

The winners in each category will be announced on Thursday 27th November.
