Ever wondered what happens behind the hoardings at construction sites? Open Doors week will reveal all for the younger generation in considering a career in construction. Taking place between the 13th and 18th March 2023.
Open Doors is aimed at people considering a career in construction to demonstrate the diverse range of opportunities available and to give them a taste of what it is like to work in the industry. Here at Sir Robert McAlpine we will open up the doors to some of our sites across the country to provide this behind-the-scenes access. The week long event is delivered by Build UK and in partnership with CITB and industry partners like Considerate Constructors Scheme, HS2 and the Department for Work and Pensions.
We are excited to announce that the following sites will be participating:

Many young people don’t know what they want to do when they leave school, so we have a fantastic opportunity to capture their imagination and show them just what they can achieve – whether they are considering college, a traineeship, an apprenticeship, or university. Open Doors also encourages career changers and members of the public to experience a “live” construction project in their local community. We all know the impact this can have and the powerful first impression it can make.
