Celebrating National Highways Awards Nominations 2024

Our teams are driving innovation and social value as we celebrate nominations at the National Highways Industry Awards 2024.

Teams shortlisted for National Highways Industry Awards

The National Highways Industry Awards, now in their fourth year, celebrate outstanding achievements in safety, customer service, and project delivery across England's strategic road network.

We are proud to announce that two of our teams have been shortlisted for the 2024 awards: Outstanding Customer Focused Initiative – A533 Expressway Bridge Replacement Scheme. These awards recognise outstanding achievements in delivering the government’s Road Investment Strategy, celebrating leadership, innovation, and excellence across England’s strategic road network.

Outstanding Customer Focused Initiative – A533 Expressway Bridge Replacement Scheme

The AmeySRM joint venture team has been recognised for their innovative and customer-centric approach to replacing the A533 Expressway bridge. By constructing the bridge deck offsite, the project timeline was reduced by 12 weeks, limiting road closures to a single weekend. This ensured minimal disruption for road users while maintaining vital connections for local communities.

Delivering Social Value – A19 DBFO Team

The A19 DBFO team has been celebrated for their commitment to creating social value. The judges’ statement says: “Sir Robert McAlpine’s broad range of collaborative social value activity has brought many benefits to employees, the public, the supply chain, the environment and the economy. The team delivered improvements to the long-term health of ecosystems and biodiversity, improved the lives of road users, delivered career and community engagement and focused on wellbeing, promoting active travel and men’s health.” These contributions exemplify our dedication to sustainable and socially responsible project delivery.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 5th March 2025. We extend our congratulations to all team members involved in these exemplary projects.
