Four nominations at CENE awards

We have received four nominations in three categories at the Constructing Excellence North East Awards 2025

We have been shortlisted no fewer than four times at the Constructing Excellence North East Awards 2025.

The annual event celebrates excellence in the North East built environment and winners are invited to the national final later in the year.

Phase Two of the Hexham General Hospital project leads the way with a pair of nominations in the Integration & Collaborative Working and Retrofit categories. This is an IHP project, our joint healthcare venture with VINCI.

The project completed in September 2024 and includes a brand-new maternity unit as well as enhanced oncology, women’s health and endoscopy facilities.

The redevelopment of Wearmouth View, a healthcare facility at Monkwearmouth Hospital in Sunderland, is also up for the Integration & Collaborative Working award.

The developer on this project was Monkwearmouth Development Ltd, a joint venture between Sir Robert McAlpine Capital Ventures Limited and Argon Property Development Solutions Limited, with SRM completing construction of the 3,287 sqm, three-storey building.

Finally, the Riverside Multi Storey Car Park at Farringdon Row in Sunderland is among four nominees for Infrastructure Project of the Year. The project, which boasts an award-winning design that seamlessly blends functionality and aesthetics, completed in 2023 and was awarded Best New Car park at the British Parking Awards in the same year.

The winners will be revealed on Friday 13th June.
