Volunteers support ParalympicsGB Kitting Out

Sir Robert McAlpine volunteers played a vital role in the ParalympicsGB Kitting Out event recently, supporting athletes as they prepare for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Volunteers assisted athletes as they tried on and received their ParalympicsGB kit supplied by Adidas, including ceremonies wear, village, training and competition wear.

Hosted by Loughborough University, the ParalympicsGB Kitting Out event involved our Sir Robert McAlpine colleagues assisting in volunteer roles:

  • Personal shopper volunteers: Liz Waters, Senior Social Value Manager and Zara Masood, Proposals Manager
  • Picker and packer volunteers: Peter Gallagher, Chief Engineer and Jeremy Harmsworth, Tech Compliance & Audit Manager
  • Front of house volunteers: Andy Fraser, Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager and Christopher Wong, Design Engineer

Our 6 volunteers ensured athletes received their ParalympicsGB kits efficiently whilst enjoying a seamless experience. The Kitting Out showrooms and Athlete lounge space was hosted at Loughborough University’s Sport Park Hub, while the Victory Hall in the Holywell Sports Centre was transformed into an impressive warehouse.

Huge thanks to all  This initiative highlights Sir Robert McAlpine’s commitment to supporting the incredible team of athletes at ParalympicsGB. We’ll be cheering them on all the way to the Paris 2024 Games!
