PAS 2080 verification the latest milestone on our pathway to Net Zero

Leading the way in decarbonisation, we've achieved PAS 2080 certification across our UK operations, enhancing carbon management in construction.

We demonstrate decarbonisation leadership with PAS 2080 certification across our UK operations.

We are among the first Tier 1 contractors to achieve PAS 2080 certification across both our Buildings and Infrastructure divisions.

Providing a common framework for how to manage whole life carbon across the built environment. PAS 2080 supports carbon reduction, adds value, and enables a culture of challenging traditional ways of working to decarbonise the built environment.

We underwent a robust independent audit to check our carbon management system meets all the requirements of PAS 2080 and is being implemented across the business.

We are already seeing the benefits of implementing our system across the project lifecycle:

  • On recent schemes where we have been involved in an Early Contractor Involvement period, we have been able to challenge the design to find efficiencies and integrate low carbon materials, which has delivered an embodied carbon saving of more than 11,000 tCO2e (15% reduction in overall emissions).
  • Our system has ensured the robust capture of as-built records to provide certainty to our clients on their projects’ actual whole life carbon performance.
  • Our Whole Life Carbon Database collects as-built data, best practice and lessons learnt to aid future benchmarking, continual improvement and certainty for our clients.

PAS 2080 verification is a significant milestone on our pathway to Net Zero, supporting not only our own decarbonisation efforts, but those of our clients too.

Verification gives assurance that we have robust systems, processes and technical expertise in place to provide accurate prediction, management and reporting of whole life carbon at all stages of a project lifecycle.

It helps us to continue building our expertise, which, when paired with our engineering excellence, provides a compelling offer to our clients, helping to decarbonise the built environment.
