Proud to support the British Paralympic Association
24 Aug 2020We’re counting down to the rescheduled Tokyo 2020 Games with ParalympicsGB athlete, David Weir.
To show support for our friends at ParalympicsGB on their road to Tokyo, our people took part in their own virtual baton relay.
As a business committed to creating an inclusive workplace environment and culture, and one that values the diversity of individual talents, our partnership with ParalympicsGB is something we’re incredibly proud of.
Thank you to our superstars around the country, at sites, offices and at home who took the time to run, walk, shuffle, moonwalk, cycle and cartwheel in turn to pass our virtual baton!
We've pulled all the footage together into a video which we've shared with our friends at ParalympicsGB who were also keen to get involved too.
Amy Truesdale is a Tae Kwon Do athlete, heading to her first Paralympic Games, as this is the first year Tae Kwon Do is recognised as a Paralympic sport. She has won multiple Gold and Silver medals at International Para Tae Kwon Do Championships.
Richard Whitehead is a highly decorated athlete, with multiple gold medals won at Paralympics and Para World Championships. He is heading to his fourth Paralympic Games, and has competed in 100m and 200m sprints, as well as having completed multiple marathons.
It's been such a fun way to show our support for our athletes as they make their way to Tokyo for the Paralympic Games.
Small gestures like this will really help make sure they feel the love even though they're 6,000 miles away.
All the very best ParalympicsGB!
