Congratulations to all 15 riders, who have conquered the Gallery to Gallery ride. Together, they have raised an impressive £20k for six charitable causes, including £3k for our charity partner, Maggie’s.
Last week, between 24th - 26th April, a team of 15 riders embarked on a cycling challenge, hosted by Lightweight Drywall. Together, their fundraising efforts resulted in an incredible £20k raised for the following charitable organisations:
£3k of the total amount was raised by our colleagues to support our charity partner, Maggie’s.
Cycling from Trafalgar Square, London to York over three days, we teamed up with National Gallery project partners including riders from Sir Robert McAlpine, Lightweight Drywall, National Gallery, Lawson Ward, Strandbrook Ltd and Gardiner & Theobald, who came together to make a meaningful difference and raise funds for their chosen charities.
The Gallery to Gallery ride not only served as a physical challenge but also as a testament to our commitment to raising funds for our charity partner, Maggie's.
Every pound raised will help make a difference in the lives of individuals affected by cancer. Maggie’s, everyone's home of cancer care provides invaluable support services, including expert counselling, benefits advice, and a nurturing environment for those navigating the complexities of cancer.
Even a small donation can have a profound impact:
The three days were a test of mental and physical endurance in some very tough conditions. Despite the conditions, the route was superb with some fantastic scenic routes through some typical English countryside. Hats off to every rider and our support crew for sticking with it, everyone’s efforts were tremendous.

Sir Robert McAlpine Special Projects celebrates the topping out of Maggie’s Northampton, a new cancer support centre at Northampton General Hospital, marking a key milestone in providing expert care for those affected by cancer.
Latest fundraising efforts from our colleagues around the business have added five new bricks to our virtual Maggie's centre bringing us closer to our 100,000 hours for Maggie's goal.
Each brick represents hours of vital support funded by your donations. Although we reached our £1M target early, we are continuing to raise funds to make a lasting impact on the lives of those supported by Maggie’s.
