Our digital construction team has won a national award for pioneering data-led innovation at the National Rehabilitation Centre, setting a new benchmark in productivity and planning.
Our digital construction team's innovative, data-led approach to improving productivity has seen them win a national award.
The team won in the Best Use of Data on a Construction Project category at the Building Innovation Awards for their approach at the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) in Loughborough. The NRC is being built by Integrated Health Projects (IHP), the joint venture between VINCI Building and Sir Robert McAlpine.
The judges were impressed by our integration of various digital technologies, such as Buildots and Microsoft Copilot, into one single digital solution, establishing a new standard for data-driven construction planning.
By bringing multiple tools together into one single digital solution, the project team were able to objectively monitor progress against planned performance, predict delays before they arose and plan workforce more effectively. By the end of 2024, we experienced an ROI of approximately 12x the original software costs.
These technologies included Buildots, the AI-driven progress tracking software, and Datascope, which utilises biometric turnstile data from Datascope to track workforce numbers on-site. The team also used Microsoft Copilot, which led to a 75% reduction in time spent on administrative tasks.
