Join Sir Robert McAlpine at this year's London Build Expo. Paula McMahon - Structures Engineer, Simone Starnini - Head of Facade Engineering and Alice Hands - Head of Ethical and Sustainable Procurement will all be panellists at this year's event.
Paula McMahon (CMgr FCMI CEng FICE FWES) has joined the event as a Women in Construction Ambassador. She shares her thoughts on the upcoming session:
"I decided to select The Importance of Mentoring and Leadership panel as I have lots of experience in this area from my 30+ years in engineering and construction. I know mentoring works for people at all career stages and I strongly believe that everyone can be a leader, regardless of their job role."
Simone Starnini will be a panellist on the session "Discussing the future workforce - fast forward to a completely diverse industry".
We will also have our Head of Ethical and Sustainable Procurement, Alice Hands, participating on the panel session "Tackling Modern Slavery in Construction".
Finally, our head of digital construction, Nick Leach will be a panellist in the session "Hear from the Leaders Driving the Forces of Digital Construction".

Paula is the Regional Supervising Officer for Sir Robert McAlpine’s North region where she oversees the professional development of future Institution of Civil Engineer members. She also manages the Social Value for the A19 DBFO Project allowing Sir Robert McAlpine to give back to the community in many ways.
Simone is the Head of Façade Engineering at SRM, overviewing opportunities, tenders, and live projects for the business. Simone also represents SRM with CWCT (Board and Technical Committee) and the Society of Façade Engineering of which he’s a fellow member.
A chartered environmentalist through IEMA, Alice has extensive experience from delivering project sustainability requirements to developing the company’s first ethical procurement strategy.
Nick has over 19 years’ experience working in the Construction industry and been involved in Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies in the UK AEC industry for past 10 years.
