How to build a better future for NHS Infrastructure

“The New Hospital Programme is a huge opportunity for change, representing a turning point for the construction and healthcare industries by bringing clarity as well as an opportunity for the industry to truly collaborate, both across the programme and up and down the supply chain,” they write. 

From the urgent need for Net Zero Carbon compliance to the potential role of private finance in bridging funding gaps, this piece offers a comprehensive look at the future of NHS infrastructure.

Stuart and Robert also argue that “the suite of standardised, pre-approved functional configurations, backed up by underpinning clinical and operational policies and delivered through approved, manufactured components and assemblies – which is precisely what NHP is aiming to deliver – would offer an attractive starting point for a future Privately Financed programme.

"Both investors and contractors would welcome a Public Sector Comparator / Reference Design which offered large elements of pre-approved and quality tested solutions, reduced the need for extensive user-consultations (and its associated time and cost), whilst de-risking capacity and quality issues in the supply chain. “
