In line with our commitment to leading by example on diversity and inclusion, and inspiring industry wide change, we are proud to be the headline sponsor of this year’s Women in Construction Summit.

The event takes place on 16th May at Olympia, London, and is open to anyone, however they identify, interested in building a more diverse and inclusive industry.

Our Chairman, Ed McAlpine, and Battersea Phase 3A Project Director, Alison Cox, will open the day with a keynote address entitled “150 Years of Progress – Why Sir Robert McAlpine Won’t Stop,” in which they will showcase how we are using our experience and learnings from the past to build a true sense of ‘family’ within the business and plan for an inclusive future.

Our People Director, Michael Divers, and Director of People and Infrastructure, Karen Brookes, will also be running a workshop on “Building inclusivity into your organisation's DNA”.

The Women in Construction Summit offers the opportunity to meet with like-minded professionals working in all aspects of construction.

As well as hearing from industry leaders and others sharing their experience and insights, there will be a chance to take part in career and personal development workshops and discussions.

It is also the perfect environment to learn more about some of the latest developments in technology that are helping push the industry forward, and their potential role in reducing gender disparity.
